5e3 Chassis
Read the Description Carefully
SKU code: 5e3chassis
5E3 Chassis Narrow High Polish Chrome.
There are various Tweed Deluxe types and this is one of the trim fit chassis.
please review the specifications sheet so you understand the build
To ensure your project is successful we recommend the following Parts
- Ceramic Octal Sockets for Fender Style Amps
-
3AG Fuse Holder Fits 13mm hole This is a tight fit but will work
Selecting any sockets and fuse holders other than the items listed above may not fit in your chassis and may delay your build so please be careful when ordering.
Please note: This chassis is made from steel. If drilling is required, you should drill from the inside of the chassis, starting with a drill punch, using drill bits designed for steel - "Do not drill on the external mirror surface"
Some advice:
1. Selecting the pieces mentioned above will help you complete your project with less stress.
2. Drilling the turret board to match the chassis is a lot easier than drilling the chassis to match the board.

Quality mirror finish chassis.
By: Mikulas on 30 June 2022This is an updated review, to my previous 2 star review I left. This chassis is actually a very good looking, quality and tough chassis. It will never rust, and has a great mirror finish.

Looks great, sturdy, but cannot drill
By: Mikulas on 27 November 2021Looks great and sturdy, but cannot drill into chassis, especially drilling out the valve socket holes. Previously bought chassis from evatco were super easy to work with, and drill, but not these unfortunately.

Really bad!!
20 November 2021Usually a big fan of Evatco but this chassis is awful. The main issue - you can't drill a hole in it. I have no idea what it's made from. Never encountered anything like it. So, forget chassis ground bolts or being able to mount the very circuit boards that evatco sell. You have to use the preexisting holes (which there aren't enough of) or nothing. Also, the power tube holes are too small for the normal 30mm quality sockets. Very disappointing.

Solid product
5 July 2020Bought this chassis in 2109 for a 5e3 build. Sturdy metalwork with all holes drilled and good plating and labels.
